As I tidy up after the children
Gathering together
everything
I look at my child’s
crayons
And they set me
thinking
Some of them are plain
And some are pretty,
Some of them are fat
And some are skinny
Some of them are dull
And some are bright
Some of them are dark
And some are light
Some of them are big
And some are small
Some of them are sharp
And some not at all
Some have odd names
All are coloured
differently
And they all live in
the same box
In perfect harmony
We could learn a lot from crayons
I think you will agree
