Last week on my annual vacation
I
went to a gastronomy convention
But
all I saw was food consumption
Learning
about the stars was my intention
My uncle Ted is a bit of a saga lout
And
has decided to grow old disgracefully
Though
he gives to all, his advice and guidance
And
always has a quick funny story
He
happily spreads news, rumor or scandal
To
all who will listen about all and sundry
There is no remedy for sex
If
you’re a girl from Essex
But
to have more sex
Who cut the cheese?
What
a stink
When
knights were bold
Where
are your children?
Why

“Groundhog Day” is a comedy, screenplay by Danny Rubin and Harold Ramis, and Directed by Harold Ramis.
TV weatherman Phil (Bill Murray) reluctantly
has to do an outside broadcast in Punxsutawney,
Pennsylvania, on Groundhog Day, to cover
the story about, what he calls, a weather forecasting “rat”, Punxsutawney Phil,
who is in fact a Groundhog.
Furthermore, it’s his fourth year on the
story, and he makes no effort to hide his displeasure.
But he travels to Pennsylvania anyway with
Producer Rita (Andie MacDowell) and Cameraman Larry (Chris Elliott) and
dutifully fulfils his obligation while barely concealing his contempt for the
whole event.
And that night when he went to bed, he
consoled himself that it was only one day, but on awaking the following morning
he discovers that it's Groundhog Day again, and again, and again.
At first, he uses this anomaly to his advantage,
to seduce women, be outrageous, be obnoxious, all without consequence, but
eventually he comes to the realisation that he is doomed to spend the rest of
eternity in the same place, seeing the same people, do the same thing every day,
unless he can change, if not the day, then himself.
I don’t complain about
My silver hair and wrinkled face
I’ve lived a long life
And laughed more than my share
I’m content as so many
Of my generation never laughed,
And so many died before
Their hair has time to turn grey
Are you wearing baggy dungarees?
Oh yes, they’re the bee’s knees
And I can get inside them with ease
In fact, I can have them round your knees
Quicker than you can sneeze
Oh yes, I like your baggy dungarees
