WORKMATE

When I do the decorating

I always use my stepladder

And the reason for that is

I don't get on with my real ladder

STRIKE A LIGHT DAD

“Always fight fire with fire”

My Dad always said to me

Which is why he was sacked

From the fire brigade probably

SIX GOOD MEN

When six men were

Kicking and punching

My mother-in-law the other day

My wife said to me

'Are you going to help?'

'No, six should be enough I’d say'

TESTING IDEA

I think animal testing is a terrible idea

In fact it’s a concept rather queer

They get all nervous in their own way

And give the wrong answers anyway

THAT LOOK OF LOVE

Have you ever noticed?

That look that women get

You know the one I mean

When they want to do IT

When they have that

I want sex look in their eye

Have you ever noticed?

No neither have I

ALL-TIME CLASSIC MOVIE FAVOURITES –THE PHILADELPHIA STORY (1940)

The Philadelphia Story is a Classic romantic comedy, directed by George Cukor. about Philadelphia socialites Tracy Lord (Katharine Hepburn) and C.K. Dexter Haven (Cary Grant) who married impulsively, and their marriage and subsequent divorce was approached with equally passion.

Two years after their break-up, Tracy is about to remarry in a ceremony to take place at the Lord mansion, with bridegroom George Kittredge (John Howard) a nouveau riche businessman and aspiring politician.

However, the day before the wedding, three unexpected guests arrive at the mansion, Macaulay Connor (James Stewart), Elizabeth Imbrie (Ruth Hussey) and Dexter himself, much to Tracy’s consternation.

The three are all in the employ of Sidney Kidd (Henry Daniell) publisher and editor of the tabloid Spy magazine, having made a deal with Dexter to get a story on Tracy's wedding, the wedding of the year, in return for Kidd not publishing an expose on Tracy’s womanising father, so the scene is set for the fun and romance to begin.

The other members of the Lord family who complete the story are Uncle Willy (Roland Young), Seth (John Halliday), Margaret (Mary Nash) and Dinah (Virginia Weidler).

WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE WHY (22)

Who shot Liberty Valance

What price glory

When the legends die

Where no vulture’s fly

Why oh why
