America doesn’t need to invade
To find oil anymore
Because in an ironic
twist of fate
Oil is invading their
shore
America doesn’t need to invade
To find oil anymore
Because in an ironic
twist of fate
Oil is invading their
shore
I must say I like President Obama
He does his job with
great aplomb
But admitting defeat
in the gulf
Is a step to which he
might have to succumb
For what he faces in
the Gulf of Mexico
Is a problem that
America can’t bomb
The gulf is evident
Between man and
president
The gulf is clear
Between success and
failure
The gulf is a disaster
For president Obama
It’s great to watch Obama
Playing his
presidential games
Talking about kicking
ass
And taking names
He reminds me of King
Canute
Standing on the beach
As his political grasp
Exposes the shortness
of his reach
I think the irony of
the situation
Is well suited
As one of the great
polluters
The grieving families
Of Al Megrahi’s victims
Have no truck with
mercy
Or Scotland’s
political whims
They say they want
justice
For their loved ones
But most just want vengeance
When all said and done
In their grief they
crave
Justice for the just
Al Megrahi’s death
itself
Won’t satisfy the bloodlust
Because withering away
Consumed by cancers
hand
Is an inadequate
passing
For such a man
Perhaps some more
public end
Shown on live TV
A public execution
For all the world to
see
Stoning him to death
On the Whitehouse lawn
With Obama saying “yes
we can”
As the families look
on
A breath of fresh air
Comes our way
As he struts the stage
Like JFK
And talks the talk
Like Martin Luther
King
As he galvanizes
allies
From either wing
He holds our hopes
In his African
American hands
Let’s hope he fulfils
All his promised plans
And that Barack Obama
The young congressman
Leads us as President
To Dr Kings promised
land
