SANTA CLAUS REALLY LOVES HIS JOB

Santa Claus really loves his job

He doesn’t do it for the money

But sometimes it’s a struggle

And sometimes it’s not funny

Trying to please the kids today

Is certainly no easy task

Balancing what they deserve

Against what they ask

Sometimes Santa is impatient

With the ungrateful little buggers

And pictures them in the future

As sociopaths, fraudsters, or muggers

But Santa Claus really loves his job

And most of the kids are a joy

So, he does try to be patient

And see the best in every girl and boy

DEAR SANTA CLAUS

Dear Santa Claus

I have been good

I thought I’d mention that

So, it’s understood

I don’t want

Something practical

Something useful

Nor educational

I don’t what

Something creative

Something arty

Or constructive

I don’t want

Something sporty

Something healthy

Not outdoorsy

What I want

Is an X-Box or a PS3

So, I can escape

My boring reality

But I don’t want

You to bring me a Wii

It’s just too healthy

And drains my energy

21st CENTURY NURSERY RHYMES # 309

Mary had a little van

She had it all last summer

But now her little van

Has turned into a Hummer

ARE YOU WEARING A CHRISTMAS TIE?

Are you wearing a Christmas Tie?

Well, my next question is why?

Because it really is quite unpleasant

Let me guess it was a present

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS # 16

Twas the night before Christmas and every abode

Was shrouded in silence all down the road

But no house was empty, they were all in their homes

They were hiding from caroler’s from St Jerome’s

A CAROL FOR THE 21ST CENTURY – LITTLE DONKEY

Little donkey, little donkey on the dusty road,
Got to keep on plodding onwards, with your precious load.
- Stuff that can’t we get the bus?

THINKING ABOUT CHRISTMAS

I’m sitting here in dread

Memories of you filling my head

Sitting here so totally alone

Afraid of Christmas on my own

It was always you and me

Doing Christmas so merrily

Then you had to go and die

Leaving me with no goodbye

Losing you was such a blow

I know you didn’t choose to go

But I’m the one that’s left

I’m the one lonely and bereft

And for that simple reason

I close the curtains on the season

I will make my Christmas solitary

And not have to try to be merry

And I will avoid the usual jollity

All our friends and their frivolity
