It was a snowy December evening when Michelle Lyndsey
and her colleague Ellie Toley were sat in the bar of the Mulberry Tree
Pub.
They both lived in the village of Brocklington, situated about six
miles downstream of the River Deighton, and they had worked together for a
little over six months.
They had been enjoying Christmas drinks with a group of colleagues
after the office closed for the Christmas break.
When it was time to leave there were lots of hugs and kisses, as
goodbyes were said amidst Christmas wishes.
Michelle and Ellie were the last to leave and stood outside as the
snow softly fell.
As they lived in opposite directions, they said their goodbyes outside
the pub and hugged each other and prepared to kiss goodnight, as they had done
a hundred times before, when Ellie chose to kiss Michelle in a very different
way, and Michelle responded in kind and it was a kiss like no other kiss Ellie
had ever had, her old boyfriends never kissed her like that, and no other kiss
had made her knees go weak.
When it ended, Michelle smiled and said
“Did you like that?”
“Oh yes Michelle” she replied and buried her face in her chest
“That was the impression I got” she said and hugged her
“You took me by surprise though, I didn’t think you saw me that way”
“Whatever made you think I didn’t fancy you?” Ellie asked when she
emerged from Michelle’s chest
“Well, we’ve worked together for six months, and you never tried to
kiss me before” she said
“That doesn’t mean I didn’t want to” Ellie said “I can’t tell you how
many times I wanted to steal a kiss”
“I wish you had” she said
“Me too, I never imagined it would be so wonderful” Ellie said
“Wonderful?” she asked
“Oh yes” Ellie replied “So wonderful”
“Well, it is the
“Most Wonderful Time of the Year"” Michelle said
“So would you like a
little more wonder?”
Ellie didn’t answer
the question but by way of reply she kissed her.
